Dawn or sunset looking like a dud? Try this little tip ...
The golden hours of dawn and sunset are the most popular times of day for photographers. With the potential for skies to fill with spectacular colour, providing a backdrop to any number of scenes.
But what happens when the skies are filled with cloud and the sun just doesn't get a chance to perform its magic? Well the short answer is turn around.
Not to pack up and go home, but to see what happens if the sun gets a chance to briefly penetrate the clouds. Often the small amount of light that peeks through the cloud, is enough to light up the scene behind you.
This is what happened on this occasion.
